We're coming to KGB Bar! Please, join us for a wildly intimate night of readings by poets and writers,  including featured readers Rae Bryant, C.L. Bledsoe and Andrey Gritsman, with amazing readings by talented poets including Alyssa Morhardt-Goldstein, Lenea Grace, George Held and T.M. De Vos.

Rae Bryant is the editor of Moon Milk Review. Her fiction has won Honors and Awards from the Lorian Hemingway Short Story Competition and Bartleby Snopes as well as being editor-nominated for the Storysouth Million Writer’s Award. You can read her stories now and soon forthcoming in Rick Magazine, PANK, Gargoyle Magazine, Big Muddy, Annalemma, and Word Riot, among other publications.

Andrey Gritsman is a bilingual poet, essayist, and literary editor who immigrated to the U.S. in 1981 from Moscow, Russia. His most recent book is Pisces, published by Numina Press. He has published four volumes of poetry in Russian. His first bilingual collection of poems and essays, View From the Bridge, was published in 1999 (WORD, New York), and a second such collection, Long Fall, was published in 2004 (Spuyten Duyvil Press, New York). He runs the Intercultural Poetry Series at the Cornelia Street Café in New York City. In addition he is the founding editor of Interpoezia, a bilingual international poetry journal.

C.L. Bledsoe is the author of Anthem and an editor for Ghoti Magazine http://www.ghotimag.com. He has published work in many journals, newspapers, and anthologies, including Barrow Street, The Arkansas Review, The Cimarron Review, The Potomac Review, Margie, and Nimrod, and been nominated for three Pushcart Prizes as well as winning the Blue Collar Review's Working People Poetry Prize. He currently lives with his wife near Baltimore.

Lenea Grace is a Canadian writer, teacher, and avid kitchen-dancer.Her work has been published in Grain Magazine, EVENT, and ditch poetry. She lives in New York City.

Alyssa Morhardt-Goldstein is a MFA candidate at The New School in New York City.  She currently works with The Poetry Society of America. She has read with

George Held is a retired Queens College professor, George Held was a Fulbright lecturer in Czechoslovakia for three years and now serves on the executive board of The South Fork Natural History Museum, in Bridgehampton. His poems, stories, translations, and book reviews have appeared widely, in such places as Commonweal, Confrontation, New York Quarterly, 5AM, and The Notre Dame Review, and Garrison Keillor read one of George’s poems on NPR. A five-time Pushcart Prize nominee, he has had poems included in two dozen anthologies. His fourteenth collection of poems is After Shakespeare: Selected Sonnets (Červená Barva Press, 2010).

T. M. De Vos completed her MFA at New York University in 2004. She is the recipient of a Summer Literary Seminars fellowship and a Hopwood Award from the University of Michigan. Her work has appeared most recently in Gloom Cupboard, Painted Bride Quarterly, Tidal Basin Review, HOBART, Dossier Journal, Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette, Bosphorus Art Project Quarterly, Sakura Review, The Whistling Fire, Shady Side Review, Umbrella Factory Magazine, and the Los Angeles Review. She is a staff member of Many Mountains Moving, a performer with the Poetry Brothel, and a contributor to Fiction Writers Review.

Caper Literary Journal is a monthly journal of poetry and prose, including memoir and review. It is edited by Lisa Marie Basile, whose full-length poetry collection, A Decent Voodoo, will come out in 2012 on Červená Barva Press. Her chapbook, White Spiders, was released by Gold Wake Press. She is a Creative Writing M.F.A. candidate at The New School in New York City. She is a member of the Poetry Brothel of NYC and works with PEN American Center. She's been published in several journals, including Word Riot, elimae,Feile-Festa (Paradiso-Parthas Press), Writers Bloc (Rutgers), Willows Wept, Moon Milk Review, The View from Here, The Foundling Review and others.
